Another day of hum drum – Except, this morning braved going over to school office to try and explain that at night I don’t have hot water – seemed to go Ok and they understood me. I also managed to ring the computer tech guy and make a time for tomorrow morning to fix internet!
At the CLA I managed to ask for an appointment for us to go and get our Carte de Sou jour – which now we have to get after the VISA, we have to front up at the “Prefecture” with a whole heap of paper work and then they give us permission to stay – fingers crossed!
I am amazed at what I managed to do! Admittedly all with gestures and a few English words!
One thing I have noticed that people here are very passionate with a lot of very public displays of affection! Waiting at the bus stop is eye opening! People greeting and parting! Also the train stations and airports! Even over coffee in a café – anywhere.
It seems almost anything goes – no age limit either! No wonder they say it is a romantic country!
The French are also very open about their relationships, in class yesterday we had to remember our first love and talk about it! I don’t think this would happen at home! Needless to say the Japanese said nothing – very private!
Home to grab supermarket bags to go to the “Intermarché” and get some food in the house!
Back at 7h00. Cooked tea and then caught up on this! It is very lonely at nights and weekends when you don’t know anyone. I am going to run out of my last novel soon – not sure if I will pay for one or not at the bookshop as I can’t bring it home. Just had a brainwave – where is the public library? Bibliothèque? This might be my saving grace – hopefully they will have an English section!
Bon nuit!
