Today we had invited friends around for aperitifs before we went to a school fundraising activity. Christelle, John, Solenn and Annaelle arrived at 5:00. At 7:00 we headed to the school gymnasium to participate in Loto. What a fabulous idea – great money raiser and very family friendly. The whole event went from 3:00 – 10:00pm and you could come and go as you wished.
Prizes were fantastic and spread throughout the whole event….tickets to sports events, vouchers (meals, clothing, building supplies, services etc…hairdressers, massage, spas) books, clothing, towels, wine, computer memory sticks, tent, DVD’s, movie tickets, as well as bigger prizes. Heaps of ideas -Squash lessons, entry to trips to gyms, celebrity chef, …
It was so much fun, open to friends, families, grandparents etc…a real family fun activity. I could see this being a great event for APS. I would be keen to organise it along with some dedicated helpers!
Seph won a bag of prizes - €45 clothing voucher, bottle of wine, tool bag with tools in it, mirror, €30 voucher for pool accessories ( swapped with Christelle for a DVD), Besancon soccer teams scarf,
Hermione won a bag too – A handball, tool bag, 2 towels, 1GB memory stick for the computer. Just goes to show the girls are quite good with their numbers in French.
We left at 10:30 at the conclusion of the event and found it was snowing outside, a few centimetres had fallen. The Fitzpatricks came back in for a bite to eat and who would have thought at 11:30pm we were all sitting down having tea! By 12:30 a bit more snow was on the ground, they left and drove home in the snow.
A fantastic family fun night!
